Happy Monday Everyone!
With so much ambition going into the New Year, it's not unheard of for people to come up with multiple goals that they wish to achieve in different aspects of their life. You'll see people talk about how they want to work on bettering their diet, all while trying to get into the gym on a consistent basis and create a business plan they can put into fruition this year. It's great to be determined, but this is a clear example of long-term multitasking.
We may think we're being productive or accomplishing more in less time, when in all actuality we are merely bouncing back from one activity to another. This causes our brain to lose time since it now has to reorient itself onto its new task. We begin to lose quality in our work, as well as diminish our ability to focus efficiently thereby decreasing our rate of success.
Instead of trying to apply yourself onto multiple habits at once or experimenting with three different business plans at the same time; try focusing on one thing with all your attention and see what happens. Because if you want to see extraordinary results in something, then narrow your efforts on that one thing until you become a master at it.
You don't become an expert at something if you're consistently distracted. So if there is something you truly want to achieve this year above all others, make that your top priority and give it all your attention. You'll eventually notice a domino-like effect that will grow in size the more you concentrate.
"I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times." — Bruce Lee
Success is all about prioritization. So if you wan't something, prioritize it over all other aspects of your life and don't let anything else disrupt your concentration. Just remember that the majority of what you want will come from the majority of what you do.
This year make the effort to focus on one thing at a time. To not feel compelled to multitask and live by priority so you can live with purpose.
Until next time,

What I'm Currently Reading -
I just recently started the book "
" by Ryan Holiday. A book designed to be read over the course of 365 days (366 days including a leap year) that contains daily meditations on Stoic Philosophy to help you stay grounded over the trials and tribulations life may throw at you throughout the year. Definitely the best way to start your day.
