Happy Monday Everyone!

As someone who does Real Estate, I know all about rejection.

I've had doors slammed in my face.

Been yelled at over the phone.

And told that I'm not good enough.

And I'm going to go against my own newsletter title for a second and say that I hated it.

As a 20-year-old Real Estate agent, I wasn't used to this kind of treatment.

And it definitely took some getting used to.

I would hear all the time,

"each no gets you one step closer to a yes."

But it's hard to remember that when you keep hearing

no

every day for months and even years on end.

It wasn't until I started writing that I began to appreciate rejection.

For those of you that don't know, I've recently begun pitching my services as a ghostwriter/content writer for video creators.

In simpler terms, I'm offering to turn videos into written content to expand creator's social presence.

But since I'm new to the game, rejection is inevitable.

After my first 3 cold-outreaches, the rejections were already pouring in.

But for some reason, I enjoyed hearing rejection.

In fact, I loved it.

And I realized it's because I'm doing something I genuinely enjoy.

Because when you get rejected for something you enjoy doing, it's easy to move on because you love the process.

And I'm not saying I don't like Real Estate, but it definitely isn't my passion.

I think that's why rejection in that environment left a sour taste in my mouth.

Because right after I got a door slammed in my face, I would have to turn around and go back to doing something that didn't align with who I was.

That's today's lesson.

Get rejected for doing what you love.

Because you'll last a lot longer than those who are getting rejected for doing what they hate.

And outlasting the pain of rejection is what will ultimately guarantee you success.

Because it's inevitable for any endeavor you set out on.

So if you know rejection is inevitable, why not learn to love it?

And the secret to loving it is to love what you do.

Until next time,

Isaiah Taylor
